Watch a breathtaking sunset from the Summit of Mauna Kea 13,796 feet above sea level before stargazing at the 9,200 feet level at the Onizuka Center for International Astronomy. Besides having the world's largest and most sophisticated telescopes, the Summit of Mauna Kea is famous for its snow-capped mountaintops during the winter months. Passengers are strongly encouraged to wear warm clothing, comfortable walking shoes, and a jacket. Boxed dinner, bottled water, cookies, telescope, use of jackets and gloves are provided.
Estimated time on tour: 8 to 9 hours. Pick-up times range from 13:30 to 16:00 and drop-off times are between 21:00 and 23:00, depending on the season.
